Blue Generation - Launch event and Exchange Seminar

Blue Generation - Launch event and Exchange Seminar

The launch event of the project “Blue Generation” will be held in Brussels on the 29th and 30th November 2018. The objective of the project is to inspire and engage youth between 15 and 29 years that are NEETs (Not in Employment, Education or Training) or at risk of becoming NEETs, to consider and pursue a sustainable career and new opportunities in one of the Blue Economy growth areas: coastal tourism, aquaculture, ocean energy, marine biotechnology and maritime transport.

The Launch event will be hosted together with the Exchange Seminar, who’s objective is to share well documented knowledge between expert and beneficiary partners of the project in respective Blue Economy sectors. The logic behind the seminar is that the beneficiary partners (representing the ones to reach out to the youth sector) will gain first-hand knowledge about skills needs, job positions and profiles, existing training provisions in VET or else, to better achieve the objectives of the project which are to attract young people to Blue Economy opportunities (promotional activities), engage them to skills empowerment and development (engagement activities), and convert them to employment and actual training (employment support and training activities).
